I understand that there's a thread already like this. I just wanted to bring the disscusion back.
What do you want to see in Syn3h?
I'll start by saying my ideas.
1: Private messaging in the game. Wouldn't it be nice if you could send a message to a specific player, and not have everyone see it?
2: Public servers. You should have the option to allow other people to edit the server settings. It would be fun!
And 3: Custom music. Okay, this is kinda dumb. But I've always wanted to put my own music into my server. I can see other people putting in inapropriate music, though...

No prefixes for registered usernames and a reasonable character limit to non-registered usernames.

A User-submitted Whirld List.
Aka: A built-in list, somewhat like the list we have now, except that users can post their own worlds. Sometype of checking algorithm could examine the provided link to verify that it is actually a world. Direct-Link would still be supported, of course, but this would enable worlds to hit the main list without Aubrey having to list it personally. This would be a really nice feature if Asset Bundling comes to Unity Indie as well ;)

1. Private messaging has been requested a lot.
2. Public servers where others can edit the settings? No thx... it would be noob-o-rama with settings changing every 2 seconds and the number of non responding players would multiply.
3. Custom music. I am sure copyright laws won't allow it.
Audio input controlled by players could be fun though.
If i.e.g. there was a audio chat function, where you pressed a key to invoke it and then all your number keys would make their own distinct sounds when pressed. Audible for both you and any player close by.
I would love to have a siren, an old car horn, the sound of crickets and a dozen other weird sounds...
-Just imagine sneaking up behind someone and pressing your MOOH!!! button. *LOL*

1: Private messaging has been requested alot, because it's a great idea. :) But yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Hearing people constantly beg for the same thing can get to be a little annoying.
2: You can turn off Public servers, and block certain people from editing the settings.
And 3: Yeah. You got me on that one.
I love your idea for audio chat. But there would be no censoring whatsoever. I like the siren idea though. ;)

1. yup.
2. I think the public server control should be off as default.
3. I didn't mean chat.
I meant a range of sounds that you could invoke.
- The sounds could be made by aubrey so that we all had the same sounds to choose from.

i think a good idea so that noobs dont make other people mad would be for you to change your own PRIVATE settings so that you can have a different setting than someone else if you want

I agree, especially with the music an the Private Messaging. I have always wanted to play music while playing a game without running another program.

I think its great how Syn3h is going but i liked to keep mars explorer. I want the ablility to change my buggy,tank,hovercraft,and jet's stats on anothers game.

Wouldn't that be counter productive?
Attention is what most of them want.
Putting in a report feature would be better.
Simply press a button and have the chat logged.
- It would of course also log the IP of the person who reported an incident, to keep people from misusing the report feature.

I'd like:
1. A new braking system that freezes the player relative to what's under their tires instead of their current position. (Eliminating the floating glitch and making it possible for buggies to ride piggyback on other vehicles)
2. A chat bar integrated into the server menu so that we can organize games without having to join a server.

I'd really like that braking system! It would make buggy 'transports' so much easier! The problem is, if the buggy is inside an animated object, it will 'fall' out because the buggy is trying to stay in the same place, even when the transport is moving. (I don't know too much about this.)

Being able to assign different keys to different actions would be nice. (I don't like the brake being command, I'd rather have it be B)

Actually, On the Application, Holding the Option/Alt Key when starting the app opens a window allowing you to set the controls. It doesn't work the greatest, but it's better than nothing.

I think the submarine is already going to be implemented, but I would also like to see gtr's tiny drone vehicle, and the spiderish vehicle on syn3h.

I'm a big fan of the spider like vehicles, and think they would be quite suit the game quite nicely.
